It has been a while since we have updated the blog site, but that doesn't mean we haven't been making progress. Here are a few things that we've been working on over the last few months:
1) The artists have been narrowed down to two; Amy Colburn and Michael Buell. We are in the process of procuring larger 20"x30" detailed mural renderings to get a better image of their proposed mural design...so stay tuned, we will post them soon!
2) We are meeting with the Fire Departments to get their ideas incorporated into the mural renderings.
3) We have partnered with the Williamson Chamber of Commerce and the Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society.
4) We have identified mural expenses:
- Artist fees and materials
- Publicity including status updates
- Advertising
- Plaque acknowledging donations
- Attaching mural to the building
- Dedication ceremony
5) Fundraising efforts. To date we have received $600 in pledges and $788 in donations for a total of $1,388. Keep track of the fundraising by checking back and watching the thermometer.
